Summer Internship - Plant biology 2025

Kelpinor is offering a hands-on internship opportunity for students or recent graduates with a background or strong interest in biology, plant science, or environmental research. The intern will work directly with our seaweed-based biostimulant products, focusing on laboratory plant trials and experimental work.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated individual to support our ongoing product testing and application research. The role involves setting up and maintaining laboratory trials with plants to evaluate the effects of our biostimulants under various conditions. The internship will include responsibility for environmental monitoring, data collection, and visual documentation.Key Activities:

• Assist in setup and supervision of lab-based plant trials
• Conduct routine inspections and measurements (light intensity, temperature, soil moisture, etc.)
• Document growth progress photographically and with data sheets
• Support in evaluating plant responses to treatment
• Contribute to discussions on improving protocols and trial conditions

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in biology, agricultural sciences, environmental science, or a related field
• Interest in plants, lab work, and scientific methods
• Strong observational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Enthusiastic about sustainable agriculture and seaweed-based innovation

• Duration: Minimum 2 months during summer 2025
• Working location: Our laboratory and production site in Våg, Gildeskål municipality
